Pushing my homemade mobile band sawmill to the limits while slabbing a 65-70 cm diameter log. Managed to flip the log and drop it while winching it onto the trailer bed but everything worked out. I also ran the blade into a bullet that was hiding in the log and wrecked the blade. You can look up the pictures on donndiy and don't forget to follow! I hope you enjoy the video, share, subscribe and all that good stuff. Cheers! Thanks for watching!

Сомнительная польза от двух метровых досок,а шести метровое бревно весьма сложно будет закатить на раму.Комментарии почитал,так и не понял для чего эти"палки",разве что садовую мебель делать?

Take a cable and attach it to the frame toward the cutting head just inside of the ramp on that side. Attach the other end of the cable down the frame just inside of where you plan to place your other ramp. Stretch the middle of the cable out on the ground and roll the log onto it, attach your pull cable and as the log rolls up the ramps the cables keep it from falling off.

You lay out the cable first then roll the log on to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome tool, I would love to build one! I used to have a Wadkin Vertical for sawmilling. I wouldn't worry about the bark but that blade seems to be going very fast. I would consider slowing that down! Awesome vid though, keep up the cool work!

I’ve recently stumbled across your videos and am actually building a sawmill myself. It’s a long and tedious process and I hope it actually works. Only steps left to do are mounting the back side dogs (not even sure if this is correct vocabulary) and the safety cover for the blade itself. Almost there 👍🏼

As you've probably already figured out use a loop of cable and pull from the center. It's called par-buckling. It's how the old timers did it. I've loaded 1 ton logs with a crappy little come-along back in the day.

Take the cable off of the winch. Put a hook on the other end so that you have a hook on both ends. Attach the cable to the winch half way of the cable. Now you can hook at both ends of the log and winch it without the log twisting.

5% of us try to be innovative and find a way to work/ create something to keep ourselves busy. 4% of us are not succesful on the first few tries but try to learn from the 1% who made it. The other 95% will critize, do nothing, disagree and argue because they "know" everything. I'm building my shop and looking for a way to start milling my lumber this year 2020. Thanks, from Baytown, Texas
