You know you said the water propulsion wasn't that great. To remedy that you might try modifying the differential to run a prop shaft with a clutch to run a boat propeller once in the water

The problem that you encountered during the experiment in the water is that the wheels made them float so you could not walk in the water, but your work is perfect and a great idea.

Your tracks need to be slightly "cupped" instead of straight across like bulldozer. Also they steer best by LEANING once you are propelling forward, but AMAZING job my friend. I am an engineer, and this is fantastic all the way around, beat the HELL out of my Argo here on the farm.

Put another bottom in it boxed in for an air ballast tank. Maybe shell float. We did this out of a fiat x19 and a corvair 40 years ago. Had trouble with the braking system . Oart of the problem was the material we made the body out of. We used 3/8 & 1/2" steel plates to make the body so we wouldnt have to build a frame but still have the strength of a bullet proof tank. It was so freaking heavy she didnt want to stop. 0-60 faster than you wanted more than once but 60 to 0 in 40 yards some times

interesting performance capabilities, limited yes, but potential. The track system at this time is impressive, much to my surprise, no doubt there will later be an issue with tyre wear but I would say you did well with that and it's worthy of a little more development. For a DIY project and relatively small investment that's a good result. Thanks for a very interesting video and project.

Did you have to pull it out of the lake ? I saw you go in , swim around and turn under it's own power . BUT ! lol , no exit ! This maneuver is the most difficult , I would think . Perhaps a jet boat nozzle ? AND ! On a tractor I built , I made a rack for my seat and suspended it with coil over shocks . I could sit while driving fast 😁 Love your projects , power on brother .

Very very impressive, love the ingenuity and the extent to which he went to reuse old parts. I once build something similar to that. It only took me 2 weeks to put it together. My four year old came to me and told me thats not how that goes. Than he took it away and told me not to touch his Legos anymore.
